The THERMOMASS Building Insulation System is a perfect fit for the critical controlled atmosphere demands of beverage distribution facilities.

Stable, Controlled Environment

A stable storage environment is crucial to every successful beverage facility. Industry leaders such as Anheuser Busch, Coors, Miller Brewing, Mondavi Wineries and Pepsi, to name a few, know this. That is why they chose THERMOMASS.

Products subjected to massive temperature swings can be ruined or "skunked" and become undrinkable. The THERMOMASS system creates a controlled atmosphere on the interior of the building and takes temperature fluctuation worries out of the picture.

Our insulated walls take advantage of the “thermal mass” effect. “Thermal mass” is the ability of our concrete sandwich panels to store BTUs and hold interior temperatures steady while external temperatures vary. Because energy will be stored within our walls, spikes of temperature variation that are inherent to low mass buildings, such as those constructed with insulated metal panels, will be eliminated.

Durable Construction

Beverage distribution centers, by definition, are subjected to tremendous abuse on a daily basis due to the volume of product movement through them. THERMOMASS insulated panels, with their concrete interior, are durable enough to be impervious to damage from forklifts, material handling equipment and traffic flow that would otherwise be inflicted on other types of walls – resulting in a building that is basically maintenance free.

Economical Construction

Building a better facility doesn’t always have to cost more. Concrete is relatively inexpensive and is one of the most durable and flexible construction materials available. Couple that with the added features and benefits of the THERMOMASS Building Insulation System, and you will surely not “break the bank” on the project.

In fact it’s a common misconception that block and brick or stick built construction methods are less expensive than using insulated concrete. When all factors are considered, there is no more economical way than sandwich wall construction and the THERMOMASS Building Insulation System.
